It's hard to believe that Kyla is 4 years old! Here is she fresh off of coming down the stairs to see her birthday extravaganza. In our house, the birthday queen or king gets to decide the menu of the day. For breakfast, Kyla chose a wonderful treat of Lucky Charms cereal... the perfect way to start a 4 year old birthday! You've got to build up your energy somewhere... :-)
We also have the tradition of a birthday crown and cape which Kyla wore until she had to go to the bathroom...when she came back, she said, "Mom, I need my crown and cape again!"
After playing outside all morning, the birthday princess chose to go to McDonalds for lunch. When we went inside to order, Regan put his arm around Kyla and told the McD's worker, "It's this special little girl's birthday today!" The woman smiled and thought that they were so cute that she gave Kyla a free hot fudge sundae!
After McD's, we shopped around for the perfect pool for the backyard. We ended up getting an easy set up pool where you blow up the ring of the pool, and then fill it up. Eva couldn't wait to get inside, so she jumped in fully clothed.
