We decided to pull the kids early from school to attend my grandfather's 90th birthday celebration in California in mid-May. The teachers sent home homework for the kids to finish before they left. Ariana's involved measurements and calculations. Here are the kids getting ready to do a long jump and measure who went the furthest. I believe Daddy did the farthest jumps.

When we were getting the "essentials" at Target, the girls saw these pj's and loved the idea of all the girl cousins wearing the same pj's on our vacation. Eva wanted to wear hers that night, so after baths, she put it on. She ran to her room and put on the "fancy Nancy" necklaces that Grandma Red made all the kids. She then requested that I put her hair up like, "Belle" from Beauty and the Beast. She doesn't have as much hair as Belle, but we did manage to get a small bun on top of her head. After all the prep work, she ran to our room and looked in the mirror and said, "I am BEAUTIFUL!"

I walked past the princess room to find Regan and Ana dressed up. Regan is in the middle of telling me why they are dressed up in this picture. He told me that He dressed Ariana as a boy and that they were going to play spies....I think this boy needs a brother!!! :-) So glad that Ariana was willing to dress up as a boy even though she is a beautiful girl! :-)

The night before we left for our big road trip was Ariana's 2nd grade play. The theme was dogs. Every kid was dressed as a dog. She wanted to be a poodle and wore part of her poodle costume from Halloween years ago. She didn't want to put on the poodle head though. Ryan and I laugh at how packed these productions are. We were standing as there were no seats left and we got there early too! We didn't know where she was going to be...so we ended up on the very far right only to find that she too was on the far right, making it really hard to see her exactly. She was really cute though. We loved seeing her sing and dance throughout the play.

Here she is looking cute as ever. We love our little poodle! She is so adorable!
