Often as kids, we would play in the den. The chest of drawers was from when Dad was growing up. This actually used to be his room! In the bottom two drawers, Grandma had things for the grand kids to play with such as books and puzzles. She also used to have dress up in the bottom drawer particularly a set of pink satin shoes and matching pink purse as well as a blue satin pair of shoes and purse. She wore them to my Mom and Dad's wedding and the other to my Aunt Nancy and Uncle Bob's wedding. Though the shoes and purses are gone, she did have books and puzzles from when we were growing up. It was like opening a time capsule which opened up a lot of fun memories for me. The great grand kids enjoyed playing with our memory makers.
Here are Greta and Ariana playing outside. For as long as I can remember, Grandma and Grandpa would stand on their porch to wave goodbye to us. I love seeing this sight as it was as familiar as my own home.
