Every year, we have this tradition of going to our county fair. We LOVE it! It is such the Midwestern fair. We decided to brave the rain and go anyways. Here is Eva telling us with her face that the cow behind this baby one just pooped.

One of our favorites is the corn chucking machine. Some of these machines dated from the late 1800's. The kids all took turns putting in the corn and having the machine de-kernel it.

Maile helps as Eva grinds.

Regan wanted to make some new rope, but unfortunately, the machine went haywire. Guess we'll have to wait till next year to make another strand of rope.
