Dawn and Ryan go away...to Disney World!

Ryan and I were, well, ready for a vacation. We decided on a whim to book a weekend to Disney World for just the two of us. When we told people that we were going just the two of us, people thought we were crazy to go to Disney World. I think that a lot of people don't know why on earth one would want to go to a place that is targeted for kids, but we did as we don't get to experience Disney the way we can when we have all of our kids with us. So we stayed on Disney property and had the time of our lives. We flew in Friday morning and went straight to the parks. We would most definitely stay on Disney property again. We didn't need to rent a car as they chauffeur you everywhere. We had perks like extra hours before/after the parks open/shut down to everyone else. Every time we bought something at the parks, we had them ship it to our room so we didn't need to carry bags around with us. It was awesome! We took a quick picture outside our resort before heading to our room and then to Epcot.
On our walk to our room, we came across a snake. I don't know if we could ever live in Florida with all of their snakes. We also saw a much bigger snake at Epcot right outside of the Soar in ride. It was all coiled up and hissing...so we stayed away. We would have taken a picture of that too, but we can't use our flash on our camera as Regan dropped it on the hard marble floor a few months ago, so the flash doesn't work.

Here we are at the bus stop waiting to be whisked away to Epcot. We LOVED the bus system at Disney!!!

This is taken from the ride inside the Epcot ball. They have revamped the ride so that each car has an interactive computer screen asking you where you are from and your interests, then they tailor an animated story about you based on your answers. At the end of the ride, your picture shows up such as what you see above on a huge screen of the world and then it shows where everyone is from. We saw people from Alaska as well as Hawaii on the map! So cool! It was so nice to get away and do whatever we wanted. Michael and Chelsea watched the kids for our 3 day/2 night stay. A big thank you for that!!! Going this time of year was fabulous! The parks were not too crowded at all. We pretty much walked onto most of the rides. We had our hotel pool to ourselves. It was pretty wonderful!
