Kyla's Birthday

We now have a 5 year old in our house! Kyla was very excited to celebrate her birthday! The kids have been playing around with the left over balloons from Michael's birthday celebration. They took markers and made faces on the balloons and then carried them around. Who needs real toys when you have half deflated balloons?!
A close up of Ariana and Kyla's balloon friends.

Ryan made Kyla her favorite breakfast of the most amazing cinnamon/raisin french toast. Not only was this amazing french toast alone, but Ryan added butter and our favorite cinnamon sugar on top as well as Kyla's uber favorite: Whipped cream. We joked around about the sugar high that would occur later. Sure enough, we hit a major wild high similar to the scene in Hoodwinked after the squirrel had coffee. :-)

Here is the beautiful birthday girl. I love this girl! She brings such energy and life to our home!!!

One of Kyla's favorite parts of her day was the singing birthday song...especially the Pierson tradition song of singing, "We're glad you're not one, we're glad you're not two..." I heard her singing it not 5 minutes ago today. Who says that you have to celebrate your birthday on one day?! She is still celebrating! We are so blessed to have Kyla in our family! We can't wait to see what her fifth year brings her!

Wow--for some reason 5 seems sooo old. That happened so quickly. Seriously, the adorable toddler Kyla turned into a little girl overnight. She looks so grown-up in her photos. And goodness--is she ever a BEAUTY. Give her belated birthday squeezes for us.
