Ryan's office party was in Milwaukee on a Thursday evening. Grandma Red told us that she was worried about the cold weather and wanted us to stay up there instead of driving back that night. Ryan and I laughed as she must be worried the entire winter as we have poopy weather the entire time. We took her up on her offer and drove up to Milwaukee for a fun trip. We had a lovely time with Ryan's team. He works with such amazing people. After dinner at a fantastic steak house, we slept overnight at a fun hotel that included a huge whirlpool tub, something that Ryan looked for specifically because he knows that I LOVE taking baths, but don't do so in our small tub here at the house. It is one of my dreams to have a huge tub one day. The next day, we had so much fun. We went to an amazing food market in downtown. We had the best Mexican breakfast ever. The owner was super sweet to us. Next, we went to the Harley Davidson museum. I LOVE Harleys! Ryan indulged me as he knows that it is yet another dream of mine to own a sweet ride one day!!! Going to the museum only made me want one even more! We started heading back to Chicago and on our way, continued our adventure by stopping off at Bobby Nelson's meat and cheese shop. We ordered a ton of cheese and meat including fresh bacon that we watched the lady slice in front of our eyes from the big slab of bacon. It was a very educational experience as we talked with the workers. I tell you, there is nothing like the Midwest people! So talkative and friendly! After our shopping trip to Ryan's dream cheese and meat shop, we went to the Jelly Belly factory and took a tour. It was really fun!!! We brought back some fun beans to share with the family. After that, we went to the new movie, Avatar. Ryan and I had zero expectations going into it, but WOW!!! It was awesome!!! Ryan was on the edge of his seat as was I! He wants to own it when it comes out. We came back to the house where Grandma Red had everything under control. She even had one of her amazing dinners waiting for us...and if you have ever eaten my Mom's food, you know that she is the best cook ever! Thank you, Mom, for letting us get away and taking such good care of the kids.

We have had snow...and are having more snow as I type. The kids ran outside and played in it. Here are Maile, our dog Ella, Kyla, and her friend Annabelle.

Ariana and Regan made the cutest snowman. Regan came into the house looking for carrots and other stuff to decorate the snowman's face.

I looked out the window and saw Ryan in his leather jacket...yup, it was 30 degrees, so no parka for him. He got a cute smirk on his face and then started a snowball fight with Maile. This was the beginnings of it.
