So, this past week has been not the best. In fact, I would say it was one of the worst weeks we've had in a while. Ryan and I had been talking about taking a much needed vacation, so Ryan did take off time, but for the flu instead of vacation, :-( They wondered if he had the swine flu, but his test came back negative. He did however get pneumonia on top of his non-swine flu...in a really bad way. His doctor actually wondered if he was going to need to be hospitalized. He is doing better now. THANK GOODNESS! So while Ryan and I were making it through each day on survival mode, the week went by us in a fog. We are glad to be on the mends. So, this weekend, we were happy to be feeling well enough to witness cute things by our kids such as the gleam in their eyes as they harvested our carrots from our garden. It was really fun to see these veggies grow from little seeds. I heard Ryan telling Ariana how faith is like that....and it is. By the way, the carrots were AWESOME!

Regan told me on Saturday morning, "Mom, I woke up and had this thought of making waffles for breakfast. I had 3 thoughts on this: 1. It would be difficult. 2. It would be fun 3. It would be hazardous. " I laughed so hard... "Hazardous, huh? Well, sounds great to me!" So, I let him make the family waffles on his own. He even added blueberries to his waffles towards the end of his chef time. He used our waffle maker from our wedding...12 years ago...to make his hazardous, fun, and difficult creations. We love how sweet and kind this boy is!!!

Since we were sick, Michael and Chelsea have not been over. Michael did come by one night, but stayed behind our glass door. We hadn't seen them since their California trip, so it had been what seemed like an eternity. The kids were super excited to see him. Eva tried to get out of the door to play with him, but Moochie wouldn't let her for fear of germs. So..here he is doing his "Bobak Sausage" play thing that he does with Eva. We hope that we are germ free soon so that we can play with Moochie and Chelsea again without the worry. It was so nice to come home from church yesterday and see the amazing surprise of a table set, dinner in the oven and on the table from them! They spoiled us by feeding us twice this week! We love you guys, thanks for EVERYTHING!!!

When we went to Kentucky during the summer, we witnessed THE BEST ice cream ever!!! You know how sometimes, people talk up an item and so the bar is raised super high only to experience it yourself and be slightly disappointed. Well, I was a little worried that this might happen when our cousins told us that Graeters was the best...only to find that it was true!!! While we were laid up this past week, Ryan ordered Graeters online. We were as giddy as two school kids when Wednesday rolled around and we waited for the UPS man to bring us a piece of heaven. We are now considering a road trip back to Ohio/Kentucky to bring back a bunch more!

Ariana ADORES hot and spicy things. She is constantly adding hot sauce to everything. She will be sweating as she eats this spicy hot sauce. It is rated high on the spice o' meter, yet it is her favorite. People are amazed to watch her eat spicy foods as kids usually don't like their food super spicy...not her..she loves it! We are thankful that this week is over and that we are starting a new week with a fresh page!
