We took the subway from section of town to the nearest subway stop to the Planetarium...which is still quite a walk from the subway. The kids really enjoyed the subway. I love subways..especially clean ones!
It was a rather hot and humid day...so we felt the sweat dripping on our backs and decided to make sure the kids had enough water for the miles we walked. As Ryan and I were getting out the water bottles, Kyla plopped herself on the ground and was smiling up at the sky. She sure enjoys life!!! Even though it was super humid, she was all smiles.
When we made it to the planetarium, we enjoyed the different exhibits including the Elmo and Big Bird IMAX show. Eva REALLY loved this. Ryan enjoyed watching the Thunderbirds outside the planetarium's windows, fly by for the air and water show here in Chicago. After walking around, we came back for a more mature show about space. The older kids really liked it...
but for some of us, it wasn't as interesting. :-)
