Ryan and I decided to have a "stay-cation" this past weekend in downtown Chicago. We had so much fun! As we were driving into the city, we looked at each other and said, "I bet we are going say that we should do this more often when we are done today..." and it's true...we had the best time being all together in the greatest city in America!!! Here we are ready to start our adventures in our parking garage hallway.
The first place we went, was to Ryan's office which is also right next to the Sear's tower. His office was very quiet...something we of course changed while we were there. His co-workers were so gracious to us. It was wonderful to see where our hero is during the day!!! We are so blessed to have him!!!
Well...we decided to be hoof it from Ryan's office to the Planetarium...which is a lot of steps for little legs to walk...but we did and had fun along the way!
We had never seen Buckingham fountain in person...WOW is all I can say! Truly spectacular in person!!! When we had our picture taken, it wasn't in it's full glory as you will see in a later picture...
Now this is a fun memory for us...Maile has always had this thing for chasing birds. One memory that stands out to us in particular was when we went as a family to Disney World when she and Regan were toddlers...anyways, we were standing in line for some ride and turned around, Maile was gone...she ran out of line to go and chase birds. It is something that she loved doing then...and STILL does. Here she is with Ariana chasing birds around Buckingham Fountain.
