Ryan called the kids to sit down with him and read them a Christmas story. It was really cute to see them surround the greatest dad. A sweet and tender moment that I loved seeing.

It's tradition in our family to get our tree the day after Thanksgiving, so we had the kids pick out a Noble looking tree. I must admit, it was hard to not get a Douglas Fir. Maile put our angel on top.

We had fun decorating. Another tradition in our family is that each kid gets a new ornament to represent something about that year to them. Ryan and I laughed as we took our little family to the store to pick out their ornaments. We had ideas about what they should pick out, but true to nature, they had their own. Maile chose a notebook with an "A+" on it representing her straight A's on her report card...we also liked it because she scored a 98% out of the nation for kids her age on the standard tests they administer to everyone. She's such a smarty! For Regan, we had a lot of idea such as a weather station (he LOVES the weather), Herbie (He LOVES Herbie), Cars (He LOVES cars and is always on carmax.com to look at all the different cars), but he chose Wall-E because he really liked the movie. Wall-E actually reminds us of Regan with his sweet and kind spirit. So we let him choose Wall-E to also represent our surprise Disney trip this year. For Ana, she chose a ballerina to represent her love for ballet. She had her very first concert this year and was SO adorable! She is still taking lessons and loves it thus far! Kyla chose a Barbie driving a corvette which represents her fast and furious nature. She is constantly moving and a shaking! Eva chose a Little Einsteins ornament which represents her love for the show. It sings the theme song which she loves!

Ana is showing us her ballerina ornament.

Eva doesn't want the ornament on the tree, she wants to play with it instead. We find it all over the house all the time!
